Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are your plumbers licensed, bonded, and insured?

Yes, licensed for plumbing in Missouri, bonded and with liability insurance. If you wish to verify we will have documentation ready prior to work commencing and we pull permits when necessary for the job. This is a very telling question to ask any plumber who is unsure, is telling you.

No. Estimates are free, there is no pressure to book immediately and no obligation. Most jobs require seeing the system before an accurate quote can be given “slow drain” might be a hair clog or maybe a collapsed lateral; those are totally different repairs. All costs will be detailed prior to commencement of work with you.

Yes. We do accept calls outside of usual business hours for burst pipes, sewage backup and water heater failures. You call, and we’ll tell you straight what is going on, if it’s an emergency and we need to dispatch it right away, or if it’s safe to wait until the morning, we won’t make up an emergency to charge you after-hours rates.

Shut the water off. If it is one fixture, shut off the local shutoff valve under or behind the fixture. If it’s larger, shut off the main usually close to the water meter or where the supply line is connected to the house. Next, clear items from the space to allow us to work.

The typical lifespan for a tank unit is 8–12 years, while a tankless can last up to 20 years with proper care. Look out for hot water that is tinged with rust, roaring from the tank, and hot water running out sooner than before. Moisture pooling at the base means replacement, not repair call before it ruptures.

If the clog is recurring, there is probably a blockage somewhere else. The same symptom is caused by grease buildup farther in the line, tree roots invading the sewer lateral or a crack in a section of the lateral pipe. A camera inspection is used to find out the real cause and you won’t have to pay twice a year to have the same drain unblocked.
